Updating My Resume

I didn’t think I’d have to do this for a while, but lately I’ve been growing more and more unhappy at my current 8-5 job. I may have an opportunity or two open to me in the near future, so I’m getting prepared. Unfortunately, my resume is severely out-of-date. And, worse than that, I had previously designed it in such a way that it is a major undertaking to update.

So, I’ve been working on the following:

  • Recreate resume design from scratch
  • Update education with training and computer courses
  • Remove old work history from high school and college
  • Add new work history and change dates
  • Format and build bulleted lists for easier reading
  • Create new list of references & track down contact info
  • Update online portfolio and include URL on resume
  • Convert resume, references & design example to PDF
  • Draft introduction, or cover letter

    Unfortunately at this time every where is being felt such a situation due to world economy recession. Alomost all company jobs cut are going on but i hope very soon we will be out the situation.

    Corporate Catering Sydney, I don’t know how bad it is where you are, but when we see the safe and stable government jobs affected as they have, with layoffs and furloughs, you know times are tough. This area will be hit even harder when public employees start looking for more work and have less money to spend.
