I have 2 calendars I need to update regularly and even this is a pain... can't imagine having 5 ! My advice would be to limit yourself to 2 calendars too - one would be the shared Outlook one, as it's necessary for work. The other - that depends, but I've found that you can get a calendar that would meet all your expectations even for an older, cheaper mobile phone - like my N95.
