Site Issues (Not) Resolved

Posted by: drivelocity In: Site News

I sincerely apologize for the downtime. The issue should finally be resolved. A missing file that the .htaccess file was looking for caused the site to show a blank white page. Apparently, the permalinks structure had also somehow gotten changed. I think we’re good now. I just need to check my other sites to make sure I didn’t include the same error in their respective .htaccess files.

Many thanks to my host, ASmallOrange for helping me out!

UPDATE:

It appears that it may actually have been a problem with a plugin, rather than the .htaccess file. At this time, all plugins are deactivated, so you may see some errors. I’ll keep an eye on it for a couple days before turning plugins back on to make sure that is, in fact, the case.

Ohh yes .htaccess is a very important server file and I never dare to touch it…Otherwise once i thought to do some changes in it for SEO after reading one tutorial in net…

Thanks

Actually, and I’ll provide an update ASAP, I don’t believe it was an .htaccess issue afterall. Now, it appears that there is a problematic plugin, so they’re all disabled at the moment, which may cause some errors here & there, but nothing serious. I’ll keep an eye on it for a couple days before activating plugins one by one.

hi Drivelocity,
I haven’t been by in a while. Everything looks good except…
1) you haven’t posted in over a month!
2) there is an error listed “Popular Posts”:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_mostpopular() in /home/ekloss/public_html/drivelocity/wp-content/themes/fervens-a/ferevens-a/sidebar-2.php on line 68

and 3) without any plug-ins, your blog is NO-FOLLOW. :(

Looks like you got everything resolved. I know plug-ins can be a pain especially updated them to work on current forms of wordpress. Thanks for the earlier tips on wordpress. The customizable log-in is great!

Steve, I know, I apologize. For whatever reason drivelocity is now blocked by WebSense, which is used by my office. So, I’m looking for a way around it… btw, I reinstalled the dofollow plugin.

Hi Drivelocity, I have the same problem with WebSense. Did you find a way around it? Thanks, Sylvain
