I support Barack Obama

It’s not because I’d get a larger tax break under Obama ($2300+ vs. $300+ from McCain) that I support him for President. It’s the change that this country obviously needs. Despite McCain’s denial that he is Bush III, it’s a fact that his voting almost mirrors the path that George Bush has taken us down. Also, the negativity and lies that have come from the McCain campaign sickens me to the core. I’m not saying Obama is perfect, nor am I saying there hasn’t been any negativity, and I’m not saying valid questions haven’t been raised. I will say that most of the smears that have come out against Obama and continue to this day and well after the election, I’m sure, have been completely debunked.

Everything from the claims of fascism, communism, and redistribution of wealth to the frivolous law suits trying to discredit his nationality. Everything that has shown the depths to which McCain supporters will stoop is reason enough to deny McCain any chance at replacing the most despised President in the history of the United States. I am so happy to see that Obama is taking a stand against these attacks and is not backing down like we saw Gore and Kerry do in the past two elections.

Most of the recent attacks that Obama, and we as Obama supporters, have encountered have come from Sarah Palin, who is apparently going rogue. I don’t believe that for a second, and I suspect that most of the American people who have read about her mud slinging would agree. McCain could tell her to back off. He could replace her. He could ruin her career and save face. It may be too late, but he’s brought this on himself, and now there’s talk about her running for President in 2012.

This election, in 2008, eight years after our fall from grace, is an important time in our history. In 2000, and again in 2004, I remember the claims that those were the most important elections in our time and, unfortunately, Bush was selected. No doubt, every election will be the most important in our time, but only my grandparents’ generation has seen worse. They’ve lived through the Great Depression and World War II. This is the most important election in my generation’s time. Will we continue to fall, or will we flourish as we did in the Clinton era? I’m betting on the latter and have already sent in my ballot. I voted for Barack Obama! I hope you will do the same!

definitely I will support him. honestly I had nothing good impression to him but he just proved his distinguished ability and eloquence pretty well. I just can not find any reason to not to support him.
