Every time I see Kanye West mentioned, well, anywhere, it has something to do with an absurd statement, usually involving how much he loves himself… You’ve all probably heard the statement he made about Bush on MTV – “George Bush doesn’t care about black people, … They’re saying black families are looting and white families are just looking for food…they’re giving the (Army) permission to shoot us” – Here are some of the best, or worst – you be the judge:

    Kanye really is so full of himself. This selection sums him up pretty nicely lol. Kanye does make good music from time to time, but I really feel that he is hiding some DEEP inner insecurities in the manner that he attracts attention to himself.

    I’m not really sure also about the giving Chris Brown a break. Is he serious?!

    Vince, Thanks, I’ll check out your site! I don’t think he’s even that great of a rapper – I think I saw him recently on SNL & that was one of the worst performances (song & artist) that I’ve ever seen from a guest.

    Listen To Hip Hop Music, I know what you mean about the Chris Brown quote… Is he admitting that he’s beaten women? Does he think that’s something everyone does?

    Steve, I think these quotes really sum up what he’s all about & if I see or hear him, I change the channel/station immediately.

    No one listens to a song if it’s crap, and then when you find a song that’s catchy and you can listen to it over and over, it’s all good.

    BUT, when Kanye will step up and say, ‘yeah I made that, aren’t I amazing?’ you will call him cocky and arrogant.

    That’s why I love his quote “You want me to be great, but you don’t ever want me to say I’m great?”

    People have such double standards, it’s retarded.

    That’s the definition of cocky and arrogant. Humbleness goes a long way… BTW, you’d be hard pressed to find a song of his that I think is catchy and will listen to more than once. Actually, because of his BS attitude, I won’t listen to him at all. So, no, I wouldn’t say I have double standards at all.

Its because of the way he is and promoting himself that weve got this damn chain of comments going. I love Kanyes music, shit, hes producing half of the music that mainstream is poppin out!

    Im not sure if ive missed something but his voice is shit and his lyrics are not that great. Beats are good but really does he beleive hes the best ever, the voice of a generation? Sounds like bully to me. He needs to take a step back and look at himself, im not laughing with him.
