I’m Lost About Lost

I was a pretty big fan of the TV show Lost for the first three seasons and then somehow they started disappearing from our DVR. Either we ran out of room, or my wife completely lost interest in it and I had no say. So, I think I ended up missing most of Season 4.

Season 5 begins on January 21, 2009. Apparently, it’s back on Wednesday nights instead of its temporary home on Thursdays. That’s probably a good thing as it was most likely a DVR conflict with so many shows being recorded on Thursdays that caused the show to be dropped from our lineup. I also blame the WGA strike that interrupted the season around that time.

According to the Lost Season 4 page on Wikipedia, I missed the last five episodes. The last thing I remember from where I left off was Michael on the freighter under an assumed identity and Sayid as an assassin, but I don’t remember anything about episode 78, “The Shape of Things to Come.”

I wonder how lost I would be if I tried to pick it up there. Or will I need to somehow get caught up on Season 4 before I add it back to the DVR schedule? The show is scheduled to air at 9pm, but on the 21st there will be an hour long recap episode airing at 8pm. Hopefully that will help me get up to speed if I don’t somehow watch the “lost” episodes before then…

    As far as I remember, the last few episodes revealed a lot about the nature of the island. You might be lost if you don’t watch the last 5 episodes. But then again, I watched all the episodes and I’m still always lost. :)
